James P. Tumulty, 87, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, died Thursday, September 18, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was employed by General Electric Company, Philadelphia, PA for 36 years, retiring in 1978. He was a US Army veteran of World War II serving in Africa and Italy. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Emma Dolan Tumulty and three sisters. Sister Dorothy Regina, IHM, of Immaculata, PA, Rita Tumulty of Philadelphia and Teresa Siman of Churchville, PA. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 11 a.m. Monday from the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
