Jane A. Poit of Whiting, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in West New York, NJ, she lived in Ridgefield Park, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1985. Jane was a secretary for the Ridgefield Park Board of Education for 15 years. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and a member of the Adoration Society. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert William Poit in 2000. She is survived by one daughter, Melinda Weissberg of Farmingdale, NY; one son, William of Allentown, PA; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday morning at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 11 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
