Janet Engel, 78, of Ocean Grove passed away on Thursday, February 20,

2025 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Bayonne, she

lived in Rahway and Lakewood before settling in Ocean Grove.

A graduate of Berkeley Business School. East Orange, she worked as a

Legal Secretary before become disabled many years ago. She was a

parishioner of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, Whiting.

Janet was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Virginia Engel, and

her brother, Kenneth Engel. She is survived by her sisters, Linda

Coughlin and her husband Joe, and Mary Beth Karpinski and her

husband Allan; her sister-in-law, Laurie Engel; her niece, Susan

Sweeney; and her nephews, Michael Sautner and Kenneth Engel.

Cremation was private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at

10:45am on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the All Saints Chapel of

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting,

NJ. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms

River.
