Jean Marie Scherer, 77, of Whiting, NJ, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Pines at Whiting. Jean was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and lived in Hoschton, GA for 7 years before moving to Whiting 7 months ago. She worked for Manpower, Inc. as office manager for getting temporary help for other agencies. Jean loved bowling and gardening. She was a parishioner of Holy Eucharist Church, Tabernacle, NJ. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Costello in 2000. She is survived by her husband of more than 11 years, Robert Scherer; two children, Sharon Rogers of Elgin, IL and Dawn Allen of Houston, TX; one sister, Rita Kristiansen of Williamsburg, VA and four grandchildren, Matthew, Kevin and Emily Rogers and Benjamin Allen. A Memorial Gathering will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 30th at Holy Eucharist Church, 520 Medford Lakes Road, Tabernacle, NJ followed by a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. at the church.
