Joan M. Dowd, 84, of Toms River, NJ, passed away Sunday June 14, 2015 at home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived in Beachwood for 25 years before moving to Toms River in 1994. Joan was a secretary for Crossroads Reality in Toms River. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Joan is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joseph. Her son, Kevin and his wife Stacey; three daughters, Virginia and her husband Arthur Flynn; Laura Dowd; Veronica and her husband Terence Sullivan; six grandchildren, Maureen Kratz, Matthew Flynn, Joseph Flynn, Sophia Dowd, Isabella Dowd, and Riley Sullivan; as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, June 19th at 10:45 am at the All Saints Chapel of St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Followed by inurnment in the All Saints Chapel Niche.
