Joan E. Hamilton, 82, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday at Van Dyke Hospice in Toms River. Born in Jackson Heights, Queens, NY, she lived in Whitestone, Queens, NY before moving to Whiting 23 years ago. Joan was predeceased by her daughter, Marykate Hamilton, in 2005. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Kenneth Hamilton; 2 sons Mark Hamilton of Springfield, NJ and John Hamilton and his wife Monica of Long Beach, NY; 3 daughters, Lori Hamilton and her husband, David Rindone of Bethpage, NY, Jeannie Hamilton and her husband, George Kurth of Coram, NY, and Michele Hamilton and her husband, Thomas Mollaghan of Brooklyn, NY; one sister, Elivra DeCarlo of Whitestone, Queens, NY and 10 grandchildren. Visiting is on Thursday, 11/29/2012 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home. Cremation is private.
