Joan A. Maher, 90, of Whiting, NJ died Thursday, November 1, 2007. Born in Guttenberg, NJ, she lived in Ramsey, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1997. She was a school crossing guard in Ramsey for 13 years. She was also a Hairdresser. Mrs. Maher was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Predeceased by her husband, Edward V. Maher, in 1991, she is survived by one son & daughter-in-law, Edward & Frances Hunt of Newport News, Va; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia & Robert Jewett of Manchester, NJ; one sister Margaret Pfeiffer of Buffalo, NY, one sister-n-law, Delores Maher; and seven grandchildren. Visiting Hours Friday, Nov, 2, 2007 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral Liturgy on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 at 10 AM from the All Saints Chapel at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
