JOAN ANN MILLS, 82 of Cedar Glen Lakes, WHITING, died Sunday November 14, 2010 at Runnells Specialized Hospital in Berkeley Heights, NJ. Born in Red Bank and growing up in Freehold, she lived in Little Silver and Naples, FL before moving to Whiting in 2002. She was a Registered Nurse at Riverview Hospital in Red Bank before becoming a drug and alcohol counselor dedicating her professional career helping others afflicted with dependency. After retiring, she volunteered for many organizations including St. Vincent dePaul Society, Naples, FL. Joan was a Red Hat Lady and Past President of the Cedar Glen Lakes Garden Club. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, Whiting. Joan was predeceased by her husband Lawrence and her son Barrett in 2005. Surviving are her daughter Bridget Mills of Brigantine, NJ her son Darren and his wife Christine Mills of Scotch Plains, NJ; and 2 granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Bethany Mills. Relatives and Friends may call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 9-10:15 am at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home 28 Schoolhouse Rd. Whiting, NJ 08759.
