Joan "Dolores" Traxinger, 93, of Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey passed away of natural causes in the company of her family on Saturday October 21, 2023.Joan was born on October 18, 1930, in Ashland, PA. She lived in Milford, NJ before settling in Lanoka Harbor, NJ in 1987. Predeceased by her husband Francis in 2021, and her son Raymond in 1969, Joan is survived by three sons, David of Manahawkin, NJ, James of Wellington, FL and Steven of Toms River, NJ; her eleven loving grandchildren Mellisa, Michael, Regan, Danielle, James, Justin, Brandyn, Patrick, Joseph, Alex, and Krista; and five adorable great grandchildren Cole, Avery, Caleb, Abigail Rose, and another Abigail Rose; her brother Pat Tierney, nieces, nephews and extended family. Joan was a proud and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and giving friend to all who knew her.Joan was a dedicated military wife and mother whose husband Francis served for 21 years in the Navy and Air Force before they retired in 1968. She deeply loved her family and worked tirelessly and generously to support them. Joan was always there to help and deeply loved by all those who knew her.Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Forked River Funeral and Cremation Service located at 1022 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ 08731. Joan will be laid to rest beside her husband Francis and her son Raymond on Saturday, October 28th at 11:00 AM at Saint Phillip and Saint James Roman Catholic Cemetery, 1213 US- 22, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865.
