JOHN "Jack" JOSEPH BURKE, III, 72, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, died Monday, March 3, at Manchester Manor Nursing Home in Manchester. Born in the Bronx, NY, he lived in Howell before moving to Whiting in 1993. Mr. Burke was a self-employed Insurance Agent. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and was a member of the Secular Franciscan Order of Whiting. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; one son, John J. Burke, IV of Arlington, VA; one daughter, Kara Patrice Burke of Catskills, NY and two grandchildren, Ryan and Aidan Flock. Relatives and friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday morning from 9 to 9:45 a.m. followed by a funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. in the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
