John Joseph Buwen, 86 passed away peacefully on November 22nd, 2023 in Berkeley township, New Jersey.

He was born on November 17th 1937 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to his parents Cecilia and John Buwen. John graduated from Nutley High School, Nutley, New Jersey and graduated from Newark college of engineering. He worked as an electrical engineer for AT& T Nutley, New Jersey for most of his life. He was a private pilot since 1965 and also gave pilot instructions.

John is pre-deceased by his mother, Cecilia Clarke;, his father John J. Buwen; his brother Robert William Buwen; and brother Peter Daniel Buwen. Survived by his sister Ann Marie Aquilone; sister Rose Marie Cafro; sister Cecilia Aquilone; and brother James Daniel Buwen and his wife Nancy Buwen.

A burial of cremains will take place at 11:30am on Monday, December 18th, 2023 at Cathedral Cemetery St. John the Baptist section 1708 Orem Street Scranton, PA 18504.
