John R. Forgione, 93, of Whiting, passed away on February 22, 2024. Born and raised in Trenton, NJ he was married in 1961 and lived in Lawrenceville from 1963 to 1994 until settling in Whiting Station.

John's main focus was always his family, and he also had two main hobbies: dancing, which earned him the nickname "Johnny Flame" and working out at various gyms. While living in Trenton, John started at the Man World's Gym and was active at the YMCA when he moved to Lawrenceville. Even in retirement, he enjoyed being at the Clubhouse gym and offering nutritional advice to everyone he met.

John worked as a foreman for Fleischmanns Distillery in Dayton, NJ, and in later years worked as a clerk for a law firm in Princeton, NJ; he fully retired in 1996.

John is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Jennie Forgione. He is survived by his wife Joan, married 63 years; his son John Jr. Forgione and his wife Linda; his daughter Janet Antico and her husband Peter; his five grandchildren, Nicholas Forgione, and his wife Megan, Alicia Forgione, and Arabella, Francesca, and Sofia Antico, and his brother Joseph Forgione and his wife Maria; and beloved nieces and nephews.

On Monday, February 26, 2024, a viewing will be held from 9 am to 10:30 am at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, with a Mass being offered at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in the All Saints Chapel at 10:45 am.
