William B. Keefe, 82, of Whiting, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he lived in Levittown, PA before moving to Whiting in 1998. William was a technical writer for De Laval Turbine, Inc., Trenton, NJ for 20 years, retiring in 1994. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War serving on the U.S.S. Badoeng Strait Aircraft Carrier. William was predeceased by his wife, Caroline Keefe in 1993 and his brother, Thomas Keefe. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, William B., Jr. and Elaine Keefe of Sellersville, PA and Dennis and Kathy Keefe of Croydon, PA; two brothers, Theodore Keefe of Waretown, NJ and Joseph Keefe of Venice, FL; one sister, Margaret Kotkiewicz of Venice, FL and three grandchildren, Heather, Sydney and Meghan. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Anne McGonagle. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 10th at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ.
