Joseph Michael Conetta passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 89. Born in New York City, Joseph spent his early years in Manhattan, then moved to Queens, where he met his wife, Joan. They moved to Staten Island before finding their forever home in Whiting, New Jersey, in 1998.

Joseph was a proud Navy veteran who served as a Tin Can Sailor aboard a Navy Destroyer. His service to his country was a tremendous source of pride. Beyond his military service, Joseph enjoyed tending to his lawn and garden and was known for his handy skills. He was also an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

Joseph is predeceased by his wife Joan; his parents, Stella and Michael, and his sister Joan. He is survived by his son Joseph and his wife Lorraine; his daughter Adrienne and her husband Kurt; and his grandchildren Tyler, Brett, Cameron, Montana, and Aurora.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 10:45 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton's All Saints Chapel, 30 Schoolhouse Rd, Whiting NJ 08759. Interment will immediately follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
