Joseph J. Konecny, 87, of Whiting, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at Whiting Healthcare. Born in Coaldale, PA, he lived in Elizabeth and Roselle, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1995. Joseph worked at Thomas and Betts in Elizabeth for 33 years, retiring in 1993. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Veronica Yenelavage Konecny; his daughter, Jeanine Konecny of Roselle, NJ and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Gathering will be held Tuesday, May 22nd at 10:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
