JOSEPH C. PAUL, 98, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, died Tuesday, December 18, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born Massachusetts, he lived in Dumont, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1975. Mr. Paul was a Senior Research Chemical Engineer for Lever Brothers, Edgewater, NJ. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and was a member of REESA. He was an avid bridge player and golfer and enjoyed fishing. He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Helen F. Paul, in 1999 and a daughter, Christine Paul, in 2003. Surviving are three children, Robert L. Paul and his wife Rachel of Woodcliff Lake, NJ, Helen E. Paul of Watsonville, CA and Dorothy Jean Johnson of Whiting, NJ and four grandchildren, Jason, Tracy, Peter and Amy. Relatives and friends may call Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ followed by a funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. in the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
