Joseph R. Silva, 95, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Van Dyke Hospice in Toms River. Mr. Silva was born in Ludlow, MA and lived in Bloomfield, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1981. He was an electrician supervisor for Wagner Corp, Bloomfield, for 30 years, retiring in 1972. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Alice; one son and daughter-in-law, Joe, Jr. and Kathleen of Pt. Pleasant Beach; one sister, Ilda of Cranston, RI; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Aaron Cremation Associates, Inc., Whiting.
