Josephine R. Barone, 84, of Crestwood Village VI, Whiting, Manchester, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the Van Dyke Hospice in Community Medical Center, Toms River. Mrs. Barone was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Palm Bay, FL and Long Island, NY before moving to Whiting in 1988 She was a clerk at the Federal Reserve Bank, New York City, NY, retiring in 1952. She was a member of the Bocci Club, Women's Club and Safety Patrol of Crestwood Village VI. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank; two sons, Frank of Bayonne and Thomas of Mt. Sinai, NY; one daughter, Joann Lipowski of Harleysville, PA; two brothers, John Cirone of Indian Harbor Beach, FL and Alfred Cirone of Whiting and six grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 11 to 11:45 a.m. Tuesday at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 12 noon in the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will be at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
