Josephine S. Scalingi, 89, of Norfolk, VA, formerly of Whiting, NJ, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Beth Sholom Home of Eastern Virginia in Virginia Beach, VA. She was born in Yonkers, NY and lived in New York City and Whiting before moving to Norfolk, VA. She was an administrative assistant for the American Tobacco Company in New York City for 20 years, retiring in 1981. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Scalingi in 1995. Visitation will be Friday, April 29th from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. a Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Interment will be at Whiting Memorial Park.
