Lena Schobel (nee Salzmann) aka Karoline Schobel, 95, of The Pines at Whiting, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, December 19,2012. Mrs. Schobel was born in Dornbirn, Austria and entered the United States at a young age. She was a resident of Paramus, NJ and Hyland Lake, NY. Lena was a seamstress for several garment manufacturers in Hackensack, NJ. She was married to the late Hermann Schobel for 57 years. He predeceased her in 1994. Mrs. Schobel is survived by her son, Eric and his wife, Elvira of Fair Lawn, NJ; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were private. A Memorial Mass will be offered in January 2013. Interment of her ashes, along with her husband's ashes, will take place at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ in January 2013.
