Lawrence Burlett, 88, of Whiting passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Rumson, NJ, He lived in Shrewsbury and Red Bank before moving to Whiting in 2009. Mr. Burlett was a career Airman in the US Air Force, retiring as a Tech Sergeant in 1973. He is predeceased by his parents, Abram and Bessie Burlett, and by his siblings, Abram Jr., Frank, Edgar, William, and Sydney; and by his step-son, Joseph J. Kovacs Jr. He is survived by his wife, Frances (Hoffner) Burlett; his step-children, Jean Jerabek and Robbie Ann Kovacs; five grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Interment with Military Honors will take place on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 1:30pm at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown.
