Lena "Lee" Bell, 95, of Whiting, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Lee grew up in NYC and lived in Fair Lawn and Edison, NJ before moving to Whiting in 2012. She was a supervisor at American Home Products/Ayerst Laboratories in Little Falls for over 25 years. Lee is survived by her husband, William T. Bell, her daughter Virginia Konefal, her sister, Irene Ingram, four grandchildren: Irene (Jonathan) Jackson, Katherine (Shannon) Tillman, Keith (Felicia) Konefal, Kerry (Russ) Verhovec, 10 great-grandchildren and nieces Irene, Terry and Michelle. Lee is predeceased by her brothers Richard, Clarence "Sonny" and James, son-in-law Alan "Buzzy" Konefal, and nephews Teddy and Richie. Visitation will be on Friday, June 28 from 6 pm - 9pm at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 29 at 9:30 am at St. John's Roman Catholic Church at 619 Chestnut Street, Lakehurst, NJ.
