Lorraine M. Galladay, 74, of Whiting, passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011. Born in Pennsylvania, she lived in Harrison before moving to Whiting. Lorraine was employed by Worthington Pump in Harrison for 10 years. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, Whiting, where she also was a member of the Choir. She was a devout Catholic and lived her faith everyday as evidence by the love and kindness that she imparted on everyone she met. Lorraine was loved and cherished by her late husband, Jim, as well as her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our mother's life was an example that her entire family will try to honor the rest of our lives.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond James Galladay in 2007; and her son, Raymond Jr in 2011. Surviving are her son Lawrence & his wife, Mary; two daughters, Mary L. Galladay & her husband John Coughlin and Colleen Dolaghan & her husband Mark; one brother, Thomas Olejarczyk; two sisters, Dorothy Guarino & Joann Gurkin; nine grandchildren, Marc, Caroline, Mark Patrick, Lauren Ashley, Keith, Brendan, Nolan, Matthew, and one great-granddaughter, McKenzie Riley. Visitation will be Tuesday, 2 to 4 pm & 7 to 9 pm at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday at 10:45 AM from the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, Whiting
