Louis J. LaPlaga, Jr., 70, of Whiting, passed away Friday, June 12, 2020 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Louis is survived by his wife, Carol, two sons, Brian and Christopher, his granddaughter, Sydni and his little girl, Daisy. Louis is predeceased by his loving mother, Mary L. LaPlaga. He is survived by his father, Louis J. LaPlaga, Sr., his sisters, Kathy and Karen, his brothers, Kevin and Michael and by many nieces and nephews. Louis served in the Army Reserves as a Drill Sergeant. He graduated from Edison High School in 1968. He was also very involved with the Knights of Columbus, where he had many titles, but was especially proud when he was a Grand Knight. Louis was the most outgoing, selfless and loving person and will be missed by all. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Wednesday, September 16th at 10 a.m. at St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Lakehurst, NJ. The mass can also be viewed Virtually.
