Marcelle Marie Praetorius, 86, of San Angelo, TX, formerly of Whiting, passed away Friday, June 21, 2013. Born in Little Neck, NY, she lived in Douglaston, NY from 1952 to 1984. She then moved to Crestwood Village 7, Whiting and lived there until 2012, when she relocated to San Angelo, TX. Marcelle was the President of Crestwood Village 7 Talent Group prior to the year 2002. She was a communicant of St, Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Bert Praetorius in 2008. She is survived by eight children, Marcelle, Robert, Rosemary, Jeanne, Geraldine, Edward, Louise and Eileen; brother, James; 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, June 30th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 1st at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
