Margaret (Peggy) F. Harrington, 90, of Whiting, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017 at Crestwood Manor in Whiting. She was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ. She moved to Whiting in 1972. Peggy was a manager for New Jersey Bell for 30 years, working in Jersey City for many years and Toms River. She was Past President of the Communication Workers of America, CWA, Jersey City Chapter and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Harrington in 1974. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Peggy Reiss of Manchester and Mary and Michael Higgins of Collegeville, PA; three sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Patty Harrington of Christiansburg, VA, Kevin and Terri Harrington of Tucson, AZ and Martin and Kim Harrington of Rancho Palo Verdes, CA; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, September 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
