Margaret M. Sweeney, "Casey" of Whiting, NJ, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at home. Casey was born on June 19, 1926 in Hazelton, PA. She lived in Hazelton, Newark, Livingston and Lavallette before moving to Whiting. She worked for Prudential Insurance Co. in Newark for 37 years, retiring in 1980. Casey was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and worked for the church for 12 years. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and Rosary Makers. She was predeceased by her brother, Daniel Sweeney, her sister and brother-in-law, Rosemary and Stephen Kenny and her niece, Kathleen Ford. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Margaret Gayle Sweeney, many nieces, a nephew and great-nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 25th at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Inurnment will follow at the chapel. All donations in Casey's memory should be given to the food pantry at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting is in charge of arrangements.
