Marie Fernande, 87, of Whiting, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. She was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico and lived in Forest Hills, NY before moving to Whiting in 1994. Marie was a nurse's aide at Forest View Center Nursing Home, Forest Hills, NY for 18 years. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She is survived by three children, Marisa Celentano and her husband, Stephen of Matawan, NJ, Hubert Fernande, Jr. and his wife, Glynis of Ukiah, CA and Robbin Seal and her husband, Gary of Harker Heights, TX; a brother, Joe Escobar of Spring Hills, FL; a sister, Cecilia Escobar of Bronx, NY and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m., Thursday, May 9th at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:45 a.m., Saturday, May 18th at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
