Marie L. Stewart, 82, of the Whiting section of Manchester Township passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Jersey City, she lived there and in Bayonne before moving to Whiting over 25 years ago.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Stewart was an Office Manager for Echo Plastics, Bayonne. While a resident there, she was a parishioner of Saint Andrew's RC Church.

She was predeceased by her husband Andrew in 2009, and by her sister, Joan Colasurdo. She is survived by her children, Michael and his wife Joanie of Fort Myers, FL, Linda Stewart of Hackettstown, Richard and his wife Wendy of Independence, Thomas of Bayonne, and Glenn of Liverpool, NY; her sister Elaine Benson of Whiting; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. A Catholic Blessing will be offered during the evening visitation. Cremation will be private.
