Marilynne A. Stahlbaum-Spafford, 73, of Pine Beach, passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010. Born in Newark, she was raised in Matawan and lived in Brick before moving to Pine Beach. Marilynne was a graduate of Matawan High School, Class of 1954. She was immediately accepted into the St. Peter's Nursing Program, but chose to get married and raise a family. She was a member of local poetry associations, including the Ocean County Poets Collective. She was a lifelong member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Hazlet. She was predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Lorena Stahlbaum and her son, Kent W. Spafford. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Veronica and John Liga and Lorena Craig; four grandchildren, Dessa, Crystal, Timothy and Tanner and three great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday November 18th at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2000 Florence Avenue, Hazlet, NJ 07730, (732) 264-1236.
