Marion E. Pabst, 100, of Whiting, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 AT Crestwood Manor Nursing Home in Whiting. Born in the Bronx, NY, she lived there, and Pompton Lakes, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1971. She was an account manager for several Wall Street firms in New York City for 30 years, retiring in 1971. Marion was a former representative of the Republican Party. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She is survived by her son, Major Eugene M. Pabst, whose plane was shot down over Vietnam on October, 7, 1966 and is still listed as MIA, and several cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 23 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, Valhalla, NY. Interment will follow at the cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
