Mary Clarke (Maura) passed away on April 13, 2024. She was born in Galway Ireland in 1939 and arrived in the United States at 17 years old, where she lived in New York City. In 1961 she met and married Gerard Clarke and they settled in Palisades Park, NJ. She worked for Bell Telephone Company until her first child Theresa was born. Mary had three more children after that, Karen, Maureen, and Gerard. In 1977, the family moved to Jackson Township, NJ, where she raised her children and became a school bus driver for the township for 25 years. She also worked many side jobs for her beloved vacations. In 2007, Mary moved to Whiting and continued to work and volunteer for America's Keswick Christian Retreat until she was 81 years old. She was a devoted Christian who loved to travel. She spent many years following her heart which brought her to many places in the world, but most of all her home in Ireland. Mary was loved by many and touched so many with her desire to serve the lord by helping others and giving back.

She was predeceased by her husband Gerard Clarke, her parents Tommy and Mary Lally; her brothers PJ and Michael Lally; and her sister Rita Lally.

She is survived by her children Theresa Bergman, Karen Daut, Maureen Kelly and her husband John Kelly and Gerard and his wife Kimberly; her two sisters who reside in Ireland, Sarah Meager and Ann Condon; her grandchildren, Christopher Rutter and his wife Ali, JP Kelly and his wife Kathryn, Danielle Daut, Brian Bergman, Julianna Distante and her husband Jake, Robert Bergman, Sean Clarke and Jordan Clarke.

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting NJ 08759 (732)-350-1950. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 19th, 2024 at 10 am at America's Keswick Colony Chapel, 601 County Rd 530, Whiting, NJ 08759. Burial will immediately follow at 11 am at Whiting Memorial Park, 600 Route 530 Whiting, NJ 08759. A Repast will be held following the burial on Friday, at Captain's Inn, located at 304 E Lacey Rd, Forked River, NJ 08731.
