Mary T. Cairns, 79 of Whiting died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at AristaCare in Whiting, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY she lived in Hazlet, NJ prior to moving to Whiting in 1992. Mrs. Cairns was a Ticket Receiver with Amtrak in New York for over 20 years. She was previously employed by Lily Tulip and Nabisco. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, Whiting. Mrs. Cairns is survived by her husband of 59 years, William J. Cairns, Sr.; three sons, William II & his wife, Mary; Gregory & his wife, Marie; and Michael & his wife, Stacey; One daughter, Doreen & her husband, James; three brothers, Vincent Little of GA; John Little of MA; and Donald Little of LI, NY.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces & nephews. A funeral liturgy will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2009 at 10 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, Whiting. Memorial Contributions to the Deborah Heart & Lung Center, Browns Mills, NJ would be greatly appreciated.
