Mary Grace Ditta, 96, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Cliffside Park, NJ, she lived in Oakland, NJ and Port Richey, FL before moving to Whiting. She was a sales clerk for R.H. Macy, New York City, NY for 32 years, retiring in 1985. Mary was a member of the Secular Carmelite Order and a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Anthony Mangano in 1944 and her second husband, Joseph Ditta in 1995. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and James Dicso of Barnegat, NJ and Rosemarie and Robert Molinaro of Bedford, TX; two sisters, Margaret Lazorko of Whiting and Geraldine Kerekes of Cobolt, CT; seven grandchildren, Donna Sock, Robert Molinaro, Jr., Richard Molinaro, James Molinaro, James Dicso, Michele Sherrod and Nicole Maffeo and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18th at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 19th at St. John's Catholic Church, Lakehurst. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carmelites at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ 08759.
