Mary F.
Cairns
September 5, 1949 – December 31, 2025
Mary F. Cairns, 76, of Beachwood, NJ, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of December 31, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born in West New York, NJ, to Antonio and Carmela Albanese. She grew up in Toms River and later settled in Beachwood with her devoted husband, William "Bill" Cairns, where they shared 39 wonderful years together.
Mary worked in advertising and sales for Adelphia Cable before transitioning to working from home as a self employed professional. She later proudly served her community as a Class 1 police officer and crossing guard for the Beachwood Police Department. Mary was deeply involved in her community and belonged to several organizations, including the Beachwood Republican Club and the Ocean County Federation of Republican Women. She was also a life member and past captain of the Beachwood First Aid Squad, a role she took great pride in.
Mary had a creative spirit and loved her crafts. She enjoyed making beautiful floral arrangements, framed art, and anything she could bedazzle. Some of her happiest moments were spent relaxing at her favorite country camp in New York, surrounded by family. She was known as a true cruise queen, having enjoyed 28 cruises with her husband, always ready to dance, laugh, and have fun. Mary also loved trips to the casino, where she could often be found enjoying time with family and friends. Above all, she wished for a life filled with love, happiness, and togetherness.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Bill; her two sons, Jason (Andrea) Froberg of Lacey, and William (Christine) Cairns III of Bayville; and her five grandchildren, who were her greatest joy, Kayla Froberg, Sarah Froberg, Dalton Froberg, William Cairns IV, and Vincent Cairns. She is also survived by her brother, Gaetano (Lisa) Albanese.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, located at 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. All are invited to continue celebrating Mary's life immediately following the service at the Beachwood Community Center, located at 147 Compass Avenue, in Beachwood, NJ.
