Mary T. O'Brien, 88, of Toms River, formerly of Whiting, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at Hampton Ridge Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Toms River. Mary was born in Chicago, IL and lived in Iselin, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1988. She was a member of the Crestwood Village I Women's Club and Residents Club. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and a member of the church's Adoration Society. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Owen O'Brien in 2009 and her son, Daniel O'Brien in 1990. She is survived by four sons and their spouses, Owen and Diane O'Brien of Old Bridge, Dr. Kevin O'Brien of Florida, Thomas & Stacey O'Brien of Whiting and Joseph and Pamela O'Brien of California; three granddaughters, Chelsea, Kellianne and Kaitlyn and three great-granddaughters, Harper, Rowan and Emery. A Memorial Mass will be offered Friday, Nov. 23rd at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Inurnment will follow at the chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
