Matthew S. Horton, 41, of Bayville passed away on February 22, 2022 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Washington State, he lived there until he joined the United States Marine Corps, and has lived in Bayville since being discharged. Mr. Horton joined the Ocean County Sheriff's Office in 2007, and rose to the rank of Sergeant. He was currently serving as Financial Secretary of PBA Local 379 SOA. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and family, working on cars, and home improvement projects. He is survived by his wife Melanie; his children, Bradley, Robert, Branden, and Jeremy; his parents, David Horton and Linda Johnson (Dean); his in-laws, Carol and Tom Bulwinski; his brothers, Thomas Bulwinski (Nicole), Michael Bulwinski (Melissa) and Josh Horton; and his nephew, Mason Bulwinski, Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ from 2-7pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 11:00am. Interment will full Military Honors will follow at 1:00pm at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
