Michael A. Saccomanno, age 62, of Forked River passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in California, he lived in Brick before moving to Forked River in 2011.Mr. Saccomanno was the longtime Construction Official in Lakewood Township. He believed in giving back to the community by being a member of several organizations. He was a member of the Lakewood Emergency Planning Council, the Lakewood ADA/Disability Committee, Lakewood OEM, International Code Administrators, Municipal Code Administrators, Municipal Construction Officials Association of New Jersey, and the DCA (Department of Community Affairs) Municipal Alliance. He enjoyed spending time with his children, wife and family. His passions included cooking and eating, vacationing, shooting, and partaking in all of the activities his kids were involved in. He was their number one fan.He is survived by his wife Santina (Tina); and his children, Nino and Nicolina.Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 4-8pm at Forked River Funeral and Cremation Service, 1022 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ, with funeral services at 7:30pm. The funeral procession will begin Thursday, March 9, 2023 after a 10:00am Service and Funeral Ceremony at Lakewood Township Inspection Station, 212 4th Street, Lakewood.
