Morris G. Treubig, 90, of Whiting, passed away on May 30, 2010. Born in Brooklyn, NY. He resided in Brooklyn and Florida before moving to Whiting in 1995. Morris worked for New York City's Department of Sanitation, retiring in 1970. He was past commander of the American Legion Post in Brooklyn. He honorably served in the Navy during World War II. He was a communicant of St. John's Catholic Church, Lakehurst. Morris was predeceased by his son, Peter John Treubig in 2009. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Helen of Whiting; a son George of Whiting; a brother, Frank, of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 pm, on Saturday, June 5th, at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home 28 Schoolhouse Rd, Whiting, NJ 08759. A service will follow at 3pm.
