September 4, 1942 – March 9, 2026
Nicholas Li Muli, 83, of Whiting, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, March 9, 2026. Born September 4, 1942, to parents Nicholas J. and Mary Kelly Li Muli. Nicholas grew up in Rutherford, NJ. and was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, Rutherford, and served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He moved to Brick, Nj. in 1970 and had a career in the commercial printing field. He then moved to Whiting, NJ in 2017.
Nicholas was an active parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting, NJ. He loved listening to a variety of music such as classic rock, and his favorite artists were Jerry Vale and Johnny Mathis. His favorite song was "Autumn Leaves" by Nat King Cole.
Nicholas is predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Mary Kelly Li Muli; his sisters, Catherine Li Muli, Mary Li Muli Keil, and Joan Li Muli Olsson; his nephew, Steven C. Watkins; and his brothers-in-law, Ralph Keil, A. 'Tony' Coppola, Alexander Watkins, Robert Anderson, James Olsson, and John Harvey.
Nicholas is survived by his loving siblings Lucina Li Muli Coppola, Norma Li Muli Watkins, Elaine Li Muli Anderson, Claire Li Muli Harvey, Patricia Li Muli, brother James E. Li Muli, and sister Anne Li Muli McGlynn and her husband Richard McGlynn, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, located at 28 Schoolhouse Road in Whiting. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 10:45 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church All Saints Chapel, located at 30 Schoolhouse Road in Whiting. Burial will immediately follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations in Nicholas' memory may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ 08759, or to the DAV - Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
