Patrick McConnon, 59, Whiting passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at home. Born in Newark, he lived in Far Hills for over 25 years before coming to Whiting. Patrick's career was in the restaurant industry, and he held every job from the bottom to the top. He was employed by The Manor in West Orange for over 30 years until illness forced his retirement in 2019. He was a lifelong animal lover. Predeceased by his father, Joseph McConnon, he is survived by his mother, Barbara McConnon of Whiting; two sisters, Christine Gaudreau and her husband Glen of Toms River, and Maureen Conroy of Palmerton, PA; his nieces and nephews, Taylour Gaudreau, Nicole Jacobs and her husband Brian, and Jennifer, Tara, and Patrick Conroy; his great nieces, Everly, Chloe and Harper; his favorite Aunt, Steph Rella; friends Larry Biunno, Sue and Chuck and best friend Barbara Loria; and his beloved dog Irish. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:45am on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.
