Patrick Prebor, 85, of Whiting, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Paramus Veterans Memorial Home with his loving wife by his side. Born in Morristown to the late Walter and Helen Prebor, he lived in Rockaway for 40 years before moving to Whiting in 2002. Patrick was a longtime employee of Dover General Hospital. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of VFW in Morris Plains and the American Legion in Rockaway. He was a communicant and usher of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Patrick was predeceased by his son, Kevin, his brother, Walter and his daughter-in-law, Nancy. He is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis, one daughter, Kathleen and her husband, Danny Esposito, three sons, Patrick Prebor, Paul Prebor, Michael Prebor and his wife, Lisa, and daughter-in-law, Renee Prebor, one sister, Bette Cherello, one brother, Thomas Prebor, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting on Sunday, September 10th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be offered at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting on Monday, September 11th at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project woundedwarriorproject..org
