Peter O'Keeffe, 78, of Brick, passed away on the night of June 29, 2026, peacefully. Peter was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ to parents Cornelius and Catherine O'Keeffe. He resided in Jersey City before moving to Brick in 1987, then to Spring Hill, FL from 2007 to 2018 and finally settling in Whiting, NJ in 2015 with his wife, Judith.
Peter worked for over thirty-five years as an electrician for IBEW Local 164 in Paramus, NJ, before his retirement in 2004. Peter belonged to Saint Ann Elizabeth Seton Church in Whiting and was proud to be a brother of the Knights of Columbus. He loved to travel, enriching his life with every journey. He was a very kind man who opened his home to anyone in need. In the 1970's Peter sponsored the Mao family from Vietnam, for many years, to help them receive their citizenship.
Peter is predeceased by his loving wife, Judith O'Keeffe; his brothers, Cornelius O'Keeffe and Billy O'Keeffe; and his sisters, Sharon Moore, Sheila Lamell, and Marilyn Madden. He is survived by his children, Susan Whitmeyer and her husband Michael, John Dalessio and his wife Jill, and Thomas Dalessio and his wife Kathy; his grandchildren, Darla, Mikey, Alanna, Kendall, Carissa, and Thomas; his great-grandchildren, James, Jude, Chase, Ellie, and Michael; and his siblings, Noreen Gibney and Thomas O'Keeffe.
