R. A. (Tony) Saunders, 75, of Whiting, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City. Born in London, England, he lived in Media, PA before moving to Whiting in 1999. He worked in sales and merchandising for International Envelopes, Inc., Aston, PA. Tony was a veteran of the Royal Air Force of England from 1956 to 1959. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of the Pines Council #9852, Whiting and a 4th Degree Knight in the Cardinal Dougherty Assembly #913, Springfield, PA. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Tony is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sheila; three children and their spouses, Matthew and Judy Saunders, Kathleen and Scott Walker and James and Michelle Saunders; a sister and brother in England and four grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held at Nativity BVM Church, Media, PA on Wednesday, Aug. 20th at 11 a.m. The family will be receiving friends before the mass from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.
