Rita Mich, 83, of Hamilton Township, NJ, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Serenity Hospice in Hamilton Township. Born in Trenton, NJ, Rita lived in Morrisville, PA, Whiting, NJ, and Hamilton Township, NJ. She worked for the state of New Jersey before dedicating herself as a full-time mother to her four children. In 1983, she opened The Peaceful Dove Shop in Bucks County, PA, and operated that religious gift shop for 13 years.

Rita enjoyed photography and was an award-winning Crestwood Village Camera Club member. She was also a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting, NJ. She was a devout Catholic who injected her deep love of the Lord into all she did from being a loving wife and mother to her role in The Third Order of Carmelites to her involvement in music ministries. She enjoyed many trips to the seashore with her sister Mary Ann and she loved to gaze out over the ocean.

She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Howard, and close cousin Betty Ann Dumont. She is survived by her loving sister Mary Ann Burke. She is also survived by her four children and their spouses, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Michele and John Schreck of Florence, NJ, Milissa and Paul Neirotti of Morrisville, PA, Jeffrey and Michele Mich of Cape Coral, FL, and Christopher and Christine Mich of Downingtown, PA; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Kelly and their children Logan and Rosylyn, Lauren and her wife Jess, Katherine and her husband Anthony and their son Anthony Joseph, Rebecca and her husband Larry, Sarah and her partner Michael, Bridget and her partner Ethan, Emily, Nicholas, Luke, Peter, twins Lily and Mary, Clare and Henry. She is also survived by many loving relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Brian Dumont, devoted caregiver Sandra Lee Mingo, the Hamilton Grove Rehabilitation Center staff, and Serenity Hospice staff for their help and support during her illness.

A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting.
