Robert A. Broadbent, 84, passed away on April 27, 2023 at home in Manchester, NJ. He was born on November 25, 1938 in Plainfield, NJ. He grew up in Plainfield and lived in Westfield before settling in Whiting, NJ.

An Army Veteran, Mr. Broadbent worked as a Bus Driver and was promoted to Depot Master for NJ Transit in Newark, NJ. He was involved in the Village I Golf Club, and was a Knight at the Knights of Columbus in Scotch Plains, NJ. He was also active in the Deutsche Club in Clark, NJ. One of his favorite past-times was going to Town Square in Brick, NJ

He was preceded by his parents, George and Elizabeth Newmann Broadbent; his sister Joan Beling. He is survived by his children Kathy Chrone of Whiting NJ and Ellen Cepparullo of Napels FL; His grand children Ashley Painter of Naples FL, Katelyn Cepparullo of Whiting, NJ; his great-grandchildren Aoahy Marley Hendrix, Jaden John Hendrix, and Stella Charlotte Painter.
