Robert L. Beard, 94, of Whiting, NJ passed on February 13, 2026 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Robert was born in Hagerstown, MD to parents Howard and Catherine Beard. He lived in Jackson, NJ for over forty years before settling in Whiting section of Manchester in 2003.

Robert was married to his wife of over 70 years, who he met when they both attended high school in Kingston, PA. He served in the U.S. Air Force before becoming a production planner at Engelhardt. He was an avid stamp and coin collector, and enjoyed watching his favorite teams on the TV. While his children were young, he loved family vacations to Lake Ontario, NY, and family trips to PA for reunions. After retiring, he loved traveling to the western United States. Robert was also an active member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Robert is predeceased by his daughter Mary Catherine Seiden (2014) and his brother, Donald Beard. He is survived by his wife Jane; his children Robert T. Beard of Brick, NJ, Deborah Sholander of Brick, NJ, and Karen Margeotes of Jackson, NJ; his six grandchildren; and his four great- grandchildren with one on the way.

Committal and Military Honors will be held at 1pm Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Brig. Ben. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown.
