Robert G. Buckley, 93, of Whiting, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Kearny before moving to Whiting. Robert was a graduate of William L. Dickenson High School, Jersey City in 1939. He was a purchasing manager for Bendix Corporation, retiring in 2000. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post 502. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Robert was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Buckley in 1991. He is survived by his nephew, John J. Henry, Jr. of Whiting and his niece, Lois McCue of South Carolina. Visitation will be today, Sept. 23rd from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Thursday, Sept. 24 at 9 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge.
