Rudolph Tafuri Jr., 74, of Whiting, passed away on August 29, 2022 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Staten Island, he lived there until moving to Whiting in 2004. Prior to his retirement, he was the Dean of Boys at Saint Joseph by the Sea, Staten Island for over 25 years. He was a former football coach at Mt. Loretto, Staten Island, was an avid golfer and New York Yankees fan, and enjoyed visiting Atlantic City. His wife, Phyllis, died in 2021. He is survived by his sister Sandy Morley and her husband Mike of Whiting; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Fran and Artie Kipp of Waretown; his nieces, Danielle and Stacey; his nephew, Jason; six great nieces and nephews; and one great-great niece. Cremation was private. A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4pm on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.
