Ruth Mary DeLeonardis, 87, of Whiting, passed away very peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2013. Born in England, she came to the U.S. in 1947. Residing in Beverly, NJ, she moved to Crestwood Villlage I section of Whiting in 1986. She was an employee of the British Government during WWII. Mrs. DeLeonardis was a Payroll Supervisor for Vikoa in Hoboken and most recently was a Receptionist with the Masonic Home in Burlington. She was a member of the British Wives Club and enjoyed gardening & knitting. She loved the ocean and, most of all, butterflies. She was predeceased by two brothers, Sidney & Roy Matthews and one sister, Doris Matthews Powell. She is survived by five children; Anthony, Linda, Paul, Carol, and Ian; Eleven Grandchildren and several Great Grand-children. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
